NPL: Rest Day Today, Two Matches Tomorrow

Kathmandu – There is a rest day today in the ongoing second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) being held in the capital. However, two matches are scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday. At the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur, the first match will be played at 11:45 AM between the defending champions Janakpur Bolts and Chitwan Rhinos, while the second match at 4 PM will feature Pokhara Avengers against Karnali Yaks.

Janakpur, currently at the bottom of the table after losing four consecutive matches, aims to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive—at least mathematically.

Chitwan, who have won two of their four matches, will look to strengthen their chances of reaching the playoffs with a victory. The second match at 4 PM will see Pokhara and Karnali face each other.

For both teams, this game is crucial for securing a playoff spot. Pokhara, with just one win in four matches, will find their path to the playoffs easier if they win. For Karnali, this match is a do-or-die situation.

The tournament, which began on Mangsir 1, has seen 19 matches completed so far. Unbeaten Sudurpaschim Royals have become the first team to qualify for the playoffs, earning 10 points.
