Kathmandu Win the Toss, Invite Janakpur to Bowl

Kathmand – Kathmandu Gorkhas have won the toss and elected to bat first, inviting Janakpur Bolts to bowl in today’s opening match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

This will be Janakpur’s second match of the tournament after losing their opening game to Karnali Yaks. Meanwhile, Kathmandu are playing their first match and will be looking to start their campaign with a victory.

Janakpur, having lost their first match, will be aiming to bounce back, while Kathmandu will be eager to begin the competition on a winning note.

The second edition of the NPL proved disappointing for the inaugural champions, Janakpur. After finishing at the bottom of the standings last year, Janakpur entered this season hoping for a comeback. However, they suffered a 19-run defeat against Karnali Yaks in their opening match.

The two teams have faced each other twice in the NPL so far. Janakpur won by five wickets in the inaugural edition, while Kathmandu also secured a five-wicket victory in the second edition.
