Bangladesh’s Akbar Ali to Play for Karnali in NPL

Kathmandu – Bangladeshi cricketer Akbar Ali will play for Karnali Yaks in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Karnali Yaks announced his signing through social media. The 24-year-old Akbar Ali was the captain of Bangladesh’s squad that won the ICC Under-19 World Cup for the first time in 2020.

In the final held in South Africa, Bangladesh defeated India by three wickets to win the title, with Akbar scoring an unbeaten 43 runs. He was also named Player of the Match for his performance in the final.
