Kathmandu – Nepal’s star leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has achieved a major milestone, claiming 250 wickets in international cricket.
He reached the landmark during Nepal’s Super Six match against Qatar in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifier. Lamichhane took his 250th international wicket by bowling out Qatar opener Liyanage.
Of his total, 123 wickets have come in T20 Internationals (T20Is), while he has taken 127 wickets in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
Lamichhane’s best bowling performance in T20Is came against Papua New Guinea, where he took 5 wickets for just 9 runs.
In the same match against Qatar, he also dismissed Muhammad Asim, bringing his overall tally to 251 international wickets.
