Kathmandu – India have secured a place in the final of the Under-19 World Cup after defeating Afghanistan by seven wickets.
Chasing a challenging target, India rode on a brilliant century from Aaron George to seal a comfortable victory. Earlier, Afghanistan, batting first at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe, posted a massive total of 310 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
In reply, Aaron George scored a commanding hundred, while Vaibhav Suryavanshi and captain Ayush Mhatre contributed with half-centuries. India chased down the target in just 41.1 overs, scoring 311 runs for the loss of three wickets. India will now face England in the final on Friday.
