West Indies Defeats Pakistan

Kathmandu – The home team West Indies defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets using the Duckworth-Lewis method in the second ODI.

The match, which concluded on Monday morning in Trinidad, ended with a win for the West Indies, leveling the 3-match ODI series at 1-1. Due to rain, the match was reduced to 37 overs.

Chasing a target of 172 runs, West Indies reached the total in 33.2 overs, losing 5 wickets. Roston Chase was the top scorer with an unbeaten 49 runs off 47 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Sherfane Rutherford contributed 45 runs off 33 balls, hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes. Captain Shai Hope made 32 off 35 balls, while Keacy Carty scored 16 off 42 balls.

For Pakistan, Hasan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz took 2 wickets each, while Abrar Ahmed claimed 1.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being sent in to bat at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium, Pakistan posted 171 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 37 overs.

For Pakistan, Hasan Nawaz remained unbeaten on 36 runs off 30 balls, hitting 3 sixes. Hussain Talat scored 31 off 32 balls, Abdullah Shafique made 26, Saim Ayub scored 23 off 31, and captain Mohammad Nawaz added 16.

For West Indies, Jayden Seales took 3 wickets, while Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, and Roston Chase each took 1 wicket.

The third and final ODI will be played on Tuesday.
