Three Matches Scheduled Today in the T20 World Cup

Kathmandu – Three matches are scheduled today in the group stage of the T20 World Cup cricket tournament.

In today’s fixtures, West Indies will face Italy, hosts Sri Lanka will take on Zimbabwe, and Afghanistan will compete against Canada.

Former champions West Indies have already secured their place in the Super Eight after registering consecutive victories. For the table-toppers, today’s match presents an opportunity to maintain their unbeaten run.

On the other hand, Italy, already eliminated from the tournament, will be playing for pride and valuable experience. The match between the two teams will be played at Eden Gardens in India at 11:15 AM.

In another Group B encounter, hosts Sri Lanka will face Zimbabwe. Both teams have already qualified for the Super Eight. Therefore, today’s clash will determine the group winner.

Zimbabwe caused a major upset by defeating Australia, making this match potentially challenging for the home side Sri Lanka. The game will begin at 3:15 PM in Colombo.

Later in the evening at 7:15 PM in Chennai, Afghanistan will face Canada. Both teams have already been eliminated from the Super Eight race.

For Afghanistan, this match will be an opportunity to end their World Cup campaign on a positive note, while Canada will aim to leave a strong impression against a competitive side.
