Rajasthan Defeated Despite Vaibhav’s Explosive Century

Kathmandu – Despite a blistering century from opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Rajasthan Royals were defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

In the match played Saturday night at Jaipur, Rajasthan lost to Hyderabad by 5 wickets.

Chasing a target of 229 runs set by Rajasthan, Hyderabad reached the total in 18.3 overs, losing 5 wickets.

For Hyderabad, Ishan Kishan played a key role in their fourth consecutive victory, scoring a top knock of 74 runs off 31 balls, including 11 fours and 3 sixes.

Hyderabad lost Travis Head early for just 6 runs, but Kishan and Abhishek Sharma built a match-winning partnership of 132 runs off 55 balls for the second wicket.

Abhishek scored 57 runs off 29 balls, hitting 11 fours and 1 six. Nitish Kumar Reddy added 36 off 18 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen scored 29.

Sahil Arora and Aniket Verma remained unbeaten on 1 run each. For Rajasthan, Jofra Archer and Bridges Sharma took 2 wickets each, while Donovan Ferreira claimed 1.

Earlier, batting first, Rajasthan posted a massive total of 228 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century of 103 runs off just 37 balls, smashing 5 fours and 12 sixes.

He became the third-fastest centurion in IPL history, reaching his hundred in just 37 balls. Chris Gayle remains at the top of the list.

Although Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for 10, Suryavanshi shared a 112-run partnership with Dhruv Jurel for the second wicket.

Jurel scored 51 runs off 35 balls, including 8 fours and 1 six.

Donovan Ferreira added 33, while Shimron Hetmyer scored 11. Ravindra Jadeja and Jofra Archer remained unbeaten.

For Hyderabad, Eshan Malinga took 2 wickets, while Praful Hinge, captain Pat Cummins, Saqib Hussain, and Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket each.

With 5 wins from 8 matches, Sunrisers Hyderabad have climbed to third place with 10 points, while Rajasthan Royals, also on 10 points, have slipped to fourth.
