Nepal to Play Canada Today

Kathmandu – The Nepali national cricket team will play their second and final warm-up match of the ICC T20 World Cup today, taking on Canada at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, India. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:15 PM.

Nepal come into the match with confidence after defeating the UAE by seven wickets in their first warm-up game two days ago. In that match, Dipendra Singh Airee and Aasif Sheikh impressed with half-centuries, showing strong form ahead of the tournament.

Under the leadership of captain Rohit Paudel, Nepal are participating in the ICC T20 World Cup for the third time with a 15-member squad. The tournament will be held from February 7 to March 8 across India and Sri Lanka.

Nepal have been placed in a group with Scotland, England, Italy, and West Indies. They will begin their World Cup campaign against England on February 8, followed by matches against Italy on February 12, West Indies on February 15, and Scotland on February 17. All of Nepal’s group-stage matches will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
