Kagiso Rabada Surpasses Jacques Kallis During WTC Final

Kathmandu – South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is having a stellar run in the WTC Final 2025 against Australia. With a total of 8 wickets so far in the match, Rabada has not only played a crucial role for his team but also achieved a major personal milestone.

At the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground, Rabada took 5 wickets for 51 runs in the first innings. Continuing his aggressive form, he claimed 3 more wickets for 44 runs in 11 overs during the second innings. His second-innings victims included Marnus Labuschagne (22), Usman Khawaja (6), and Cameron Green.

Rabada’s outstanding performance has significantly strengthened South Africa’s position in the final.

Alongside his on-field heroics, Rabada has achieved a significant career milestone. He has now become the fifth-highest international wicket-taker for South Africa, surpassing legendary all-rounder Jacques Kallis.

At the age of 30, Rabada has taken 574 wickets in 242 international matches, edging past Kallis, who had 572 wickets from 513 matches in his illustrious career.

The record for most international wickets for South Africa still belongs to Shaun Pollock, who claimed 823 wickets in 414 matches.
