India End the Year with a Win, Clean Sweep Sri Lanka 5–0

Kathmandu – The Indian women’s team continued their performance and won the fifth T20 match by 15 runs.

With this victory, India clinched the five-match T20 series 5–0 and completed a clean sweep against Sri Lanka.

Batting first, India scored 175 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Sri Lankan team could manage only 160 runs for seven wickets in their allotted overs.

For Sri Lanka, Hasini Perera and Imesha Dulani scored half-centuries, but their efforts were not enough to secure a win for the team.

This is the first time the Indian women’s team has recorded a 5–0 series victory at home.
