India Seal Series Win as Gill Hits Double Century

October 1, 2026

Kathamndu –  India defeated the West Indies by eight wickets in the second ODI to take an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series.

Chasing a target of 406, India reached 410 for two in 42.4 overs. Captain Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 223, while Rohit Sharma scored 101.

Gill and Rohit put on 255 runs for the opening wicket to lay the foundation for the record chase. Gill said India felt some pressure while chasing 400-plus, but breaking the target into smaller milestones helped the team succeed.

The third and final ODI will be played on October 3.
