Tri-Nation T20I Series: New Zealand Registers Third Consecutive Win

Kathmandu – New Zealand has claimed its third consecutive victory in the ongoing Tri-Nation T20I Series being held in Zimbabwe.

In their third match on Tuesday, New Zealand defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in Harare. This was New Zealand’s second consecutive win over South Africa in the series.

Chasing a modest target of 135 runs, New Zealand reached the goal in 15.5 overs, losing only 3 wickets. Opener Tim Seifert remained unbeaten and scored a half-century. He made 66 runs off 48 balls, hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Devon Conway scored 19, and Mark Chapman was out for 10 runs. Daryl Mitchell remained not out on 20. For South Africa, Senuran Muthusamy took 2 wickets and Andile Simelane took 1.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being put in to bat, South Africa posted 134/8 in 20 overs. Opener Reeza Hendricks top-scored with 41 runs off 37 balls, hitting 4 fours and a six. Andile Simelane made 11, Dewald Brevis 13, and captain Rassie van der Dussen 14 runs.

For New Zealand, Jacob Duffy, Adam Milne, and Mitchell Santner took 2 wickets each, while Will O’Rourke claimed 1. With this win, New Zealand secured 6 points and has qualified for the final.
