Kathmandu – The United States have been crowned champions of the ICC World Cup League 2 with two matches still remaining, following a remarkable run of form throughout the competition.
The USA, who finished fifth in the previous League 2 cycle, have made a significant leap forward this time, securing the title with an impressive campaign.
The USA currently lead the standings with 47 points from 34 matches. Scotland are second with 45 points from 36 matches, while the Netherlands occupy third place with 38 points from 38 matches.
The USA, Scotland and the Netherlands have already secured their places in the ICC World Cup Qualifier. The team that will finish fourth is yet to be decided.
Nepal are currently seventh in the standings with 24 points. Their hopes of finishing fourth now remain only mathematically possible.
