Janakpur and Pokhara to Face Off Today in NPL

Kathmandu – Janakpur Bolts and Pokhara Avengers are set to face each other today in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament.

The match will begin at 4:30 PM at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Janakpur will be aiming for its second victory, while Pokhara will be looking to secure its first win of the tournament. Harmit Singh leads Janakpur, while Kushal Bhurtel captains Pokhara.

In their previous matches, Janakpur recorded one win and one loss. After losing to Karnali Yaks, Janakpur bounced back with a victory over Kathmandu Gorkhas. Meanwhile, Pokhara suffered a defeat against Sudurpaschim Royals in its opening match.

The two teams have won one match each in their previous encounters across the first two editions of the NPL. In 2025, Pokhara defeated Janakpur by 25 runs, while Janakpur beat Pokhara by seven wickets in 2024.
