Kathmandu – The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has publicly invited applications from companies and brands interested in sponsoring the jersey of the Nepal women’s national cricket team. This move follows a similar sponsorship process earlier introduced for the men’s national team and marks the beginning of a new phase for women’s cricket sponsorship.
According to CAN, the minimum annual sponsorship amount has been set at NPR 6 million. The sponsorship agreement will be for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension upon mutual consent. As per the terms, the sponsor’s logo will be displayed on the front of the jersey.
Interested companies or brands must submit their applications by 11:00 AM on Bhadra 30, 2082 (Nepali calendar) at CAN’s office in Mulpani. Applications must be submitted on the company’s official letterhead, signed and stamped. Additionally, a deposit of NPR 30,000 must be made in advance at Siddhartha Bank’s Hattisar branch.
Applicants are required to submit supporting documents including company registration, PAN/VAT certificate, tax clearance certificate, relevant licenses, company profile, branding plan, and previous sponsorship experience if available.
CAN has emphasized that the entire sponsorship selection process will be conducted in a transparent and competitive manner. The association stated that this initiative aims to encourage greater private sector involvement in the promotion and development of women’s cricket in Nepal.
