Kathmandu – The full match schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has been officially released. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule on Wednesday, along with the division of teams into two groups.
The tournament is scheduled to be held in June–July next year.
Group 2 will consist of host nation England, former champions New Zealand, Sri Lanka, former winners West Indies, and two additional teams from the Global Qualifiers.
The opening match of the tournament will see England take on Sri Lanka on June 12 at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, which will be played on June 30 and July 2 at The Oval in London.
The final match will take place on July 5 at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground.
The Nepal women’s national cricket team will also be competing in the Global Qualifier. The team secured its place for the first time in history by advancing through the Asia Regional Qualifier held last month.
According to the tournament rules, four teams from the Global Qualifier will earn a spot in the Women’s T20 World Cup.
This edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will feature 12 teams for the first time.
