Kathmandu – Nepal will take on the United Arab Emirates national cricket team today in the opening match of the T20I series at the TU Cricket Ground.
The match, starting at 5:00 PM, marks a historic moment for Nepal as it will be their first-ever international game under floodlights and their return to home international cricket after two years.
The team will be led by Dipendra Singh Airee, with regular captain Rohit Paudel unavailable and not included in the squad.
Nepal and the UAE share a close rivalry in T20Is, having faced each other 11 times. Nepal holds a slight edge with 6 wins, while the UAE has won 5 matches, including their only encounter at Kirtipur.
