Nepal Women Lose Third T20I to Malaysia, Trail Series 2–1

Kathmandu – The Nepal women’s national cricket team suffered a 13-run defeat against Malaysia in the third match of the T20 International series, held at the YUMAS Oval in Kuala Lumpur.

Chasing a target of 121 runs set by Malaysia, Nepal managed to score only 107 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their full 20 overs. Rubi Poddar top-scored for Nepal with 31 runs, while Indu Barma remained unbeaten on 22. Samjhana Khadka also contributed 18 runs.

For Malaysia, Aisya Eleesa and Nur Dania took one wicket each to restrict Nepal’s chase.

Earlier, Malaysia posted 120 runs after electing to bat first, riding on a fine half-century by Ainna Hamizah. She scored a match-high 61 runs off 58 balls. Mas Elysa added 30 runs, and Wan Julia chipped in with 16.

Nepal’s bowling attack was led by Kabita Kunwar and Kabita Joshi, who claimed two wickets each.

With this result, Malaysia takes a 2–1 lead in the five-match series. The fourth T20I is scheduled to be played on Tuesday.
