Kathmandu – Nepal has been placed in Group A for the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes Cricket Tournament, where it will compete alongside South Africa and Afghanistan. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 7 to 9 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.
This year marks Nepal’s second appearance in the tournament, having made its debut just last year. The Hong Kong Sixes, which boasts a legacy spanning 33 years, is renowned worldwide for its unique and thrilling format. Known for its fast-paced action, each match in the competition consists of six overs per side, adding an extra layer of excitement for both players and fans.
The tournament will feature a total of 12 teams, divided into four groups. Over the span of three days, 29 matches are set to be played. The top two teams from each group will progress to the quarterfinals, intensifying the race for the title as the tournament unfolds.
With Nepal facing formidable opponents in its group, the national side will be aiming to make a strong impression in this short-format spectacle.
