Rebels Defeat Future by 21 Runs

In an exhilarating match of the Machhapuchhre Cricket League, Rebels secured a commanding 21-run victory over Future. Rebels posted a total of 136 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, while Future managed only 115 runs for 6 wickets in their chase.

In Rebels’ batting, Aakash Karma played a pivotal role, remaining not out at 27 runs, helping the team reach a respectable total. He scored off 29 balls, including 3 fours, with a strike rate of 93.10. Dinesh Chetri contributed 24 runs (2 fours and 2 sixes), and Subarna Khadka added 11 runs. Future’s Praveen Poudel claimed 3 wickets, while Khaliq took 2.

For Future, Bimochan fought hard, remaining not out at 13 runs, attempting to stabilize the innings. He scored off 22 balls with 1 four, achieving a strike rate of 59.09. Sulav scored 27 runs, and Kamal Thapa remained not out at 19. Rebels’ Roshan Kandel and Samrat  took 2 wickets each.

In bowling, Roshan Kandel shone for Rebels, taking 2 wickets for just 7 runs in 4 overs, maintaining an impressive economy rate of 1.75. Samrat and Puskhar Rijal also bowled 4 overs each, taking 2 and 1 wickets respectively. For Future, Praveen Poudel was the standout bowler with 3 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs, while Sahil Subedi and Pradeep Poudel each took 1 wicket.

Extra runs played a significant role in the match. Future accumulated 36 extras (4 byes, 0 leg byes, 31 wides, 1 no-ball), while Rebels scored 32 extras (2 byes, 1 leg bye, 25 wides, 4 no-balls). This victory earned Rebels crucial 2 points in the points table.
