Nepal Sets Target of 359 Runs for Bhutan

Kathmandu – In the ACC U-16 East Zone Cup, Nepal has posted a massive total of 359 runs against Bhutan. In the ongoing match in Malaysia, Raunak Srivastava played a brilliant innings of 168 runs for Nepal.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Nepal lost opener Parimarjan Yadav in the very first over. Prasiddha Jaisi scored 7 runs off 14 balls before getting out. Then, Shreevansh Bajgain and Raunak Srivastava took Nepal to 107 runs. Shreevansh was dismissed after scoring 54 runs off 52 balls.

After that, Sugam Budhathoki supported Raunak, and the duo pushed Nepal’s score to 180. Sugam was out for 35 runs. For the fifth wicket, Raunak and Joy Thapa shared a marathon 170-run partnership, taking Nepal to a strong position of 350 runs. Raunak was dismissed in the final over after anchoring the innings.

Joy Thapa remained unbeaten with a half-century.

Raunak’s 168 is the highest individual score by a Nepali batter in any age-group international cricket match.
