Kathmandu – In the Prime Minister Cup One-Day Cricket tournament, Lumbini Province registered a victory over Koshi Province, winning by a massive margin of 148 runs.
Batting first, Lumbini scored 249 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. In reply, Koshi failed to chase the big target and were all out for just 101 runs.
For Lumbini, captain Dev Khanal led from the front with a brilliant 92 runs, while Santosh Yadav contributed 48 runs. Ranjit Khadka scored 35, Rajendra Bam added 16, and Akash Tripathi made 12, while the rest failed to reach double figures.
For Koshi, Sujan Thapaliya was the standout bowler with 4 wickets, while Dipesh Kandel took 2 wickets. Bipin Mahato and Prem Kamat claimed one wicket each.
Chasing 250, Koshi struggled from the start. Ankit Subedi top-scored with 30 runs, Dipesh Kandel made 15, and Sujan Thapaliya added 11, but no other batter could reach double digits.
For Lumbini, Santosh Yadav starred with the ball, taking 4 wickets. Rajendra Bam picked up 3 wickets, while Nirmal Gurung took 2 and Sandesh Thapa claimed 1 wicket.
