Kathmandu – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament is a matter of national pride and should not be halted. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the High Performance Center in Satdobato on Thursday, he emphasized the importance of the league.
“Now prepare for the NPL with grandeur. The NPL represents our national pride. We must highlight it further at the national level and increase its attraction,” he said. “The NPL is a matter of pride, and it must be played. I urge everyone to focus on taking it forward.”
Prime Minister Oli also addressed concerns regarding the size of the ongoing stadium construction in Kirtipur. “Don’t worry if the current stadium under construction in Kirtipur looks small,” he said. “From now on, no stadium will be smaller than one that can hold 50,000 spectators. The Kirtipur stadium will be expanded further in the next phase.”
