Nepal Receives NPR 37.7 Million Prize Money for Winning One Match in the T20 World Cup

Kathmandu – The Nepali national cricket team, which was eliminated in the group stage of the recently concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, has received USD 256,154 (approximately NPR 37.7 million) in prize money from the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The ICC announced the prize distribution for teams participating in the tournament and confirmed that Nepal would receive this amount. Along with Nepal, Italy, United Arab Emirates, and Netherlands also received the same prize money.

 

According to the ICC, out of the total USD 11.25 million prize pool, the champion India received USD 2,639,423. Similarly, the runner-up New Zealand received USD 1,422,602, third-placed South Africa received USD 1,005,577, and semifinalist England received USD 974,423.

 

Among the teams that reached the Super Eight stage, West Indies received USD 538,269, Pakistan received USD 522,692, Zimbabwe received USD 491,538, and Sri Lanka received USD 475,962.
