Nepal’s Victory Over Indonesia: Century by Prasiddh and 6 Wickets by Bipin

Kathmandu – Nepal secured a massive win against Indonesia in their third match of the ACC Men’s U-16 East Zone Cricket Tournament, thanks to a brilliant century by opening batter Prasiddh Jaisi and an outstanding six-wicket haul by captain Bipin Prasad Sharma.

In the match held at Selangor Turf Club, Kuala Lumpur, Nepal defeated Indonesia by a huge margin of 370 runs.

Chasing a mammoth target of 421 runs, Indonesia was bowled out for just 50 runs in 24.3 overs. Kavin Neeraj scored the highest with 15 runs, followed by Divit Nanda with 14 runs.

In bowling, Bipin was phenomenal, taking 6 wickets for just 12 runs in 7.3 overs. Shubham Khanal and Sugam Budhathoki chipped in with a wicket each.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Nepal posted a massive 420 runs for 5 wickets in their allotted 50 overs, setting a target of 421 runs for Indonesia.

This is Nepal’s highest-ever total in any 50-over format at any level, including senior and age-group teams. It’s also the highest total in the ongoing tournament.

Prasiddh Jaisi played a stunning innings, scoring 132 runs off 114 balls, including 15 fours and 1 six. Raunak Srivastava contributed 88 runs off 71 balls, hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Fellow opener Parimardhan Yadav smashed 71 runs off just 28 balls, with 4 fours and 8 sixes, while Joy Thapa added 57 runs off 41 balls.

For Indonesia, Ketut Darma Putra took 2 wickets, while Kavin Neeraj, Mahendra Aji, and Rehan Riza took 1 wicket each.

Nepal, placed in Group A, has now won all three of its matches and sits at the top of the points table with 6 points. Earlier, Nepal beat Singapore by 6 wickets and Japan by 9 wickets.

Singapore, having played one more match than Nepal, also has 6 points from 4 games. Japan and Indonesia have 2 points each, while Bhutan remains without a win.
