Kathmandu – The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) organized a farewell program on Sunday for the national cricket team, which is set to travel to Australia for the Top End T20 Series.
During the event, National Sports Council Member Secretary Tankalal Ghising and CAN officials handed over the national flag to the team as a symbolic gesture.
The Nepali cricket team will depart for Australia on Monday. The tour is part of Nepal’s preparation for the joint Asia and East Asia-Pacific regional qualifiers for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Oman this October.
The Top End T20 Series will take place in Darwin, Australia, from August 14 to 24.
