Nepal to play in Srilanka and India Before world cup 2026!
January 13, 2026Nepal Cricket team will fly for Sri Lanka for preparation for ICC T20 World cup 2026.The Nepali national cricket team will play practice series in two phases. After Srilanka, Nepal will play in Mumbai, India.
After completing two phases of preparation camp in Kathmandu and Bhairahawa, the Nepali team will go to Sri Lanka and play three T20 matches against the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team. These matches will take place on January 20, 22, and 24. Prior to that, the team has a schedule to practice on January 19, 21, and 23 as well.
After Sri Lanka, the Nepali team will head to India, where there is a schedule to play two T20 practice matches against the Mumbai Cricket Association’s MCA President-11. The first match will be on January 29 as a day game, and the second match on January 31 as a day/night game at the CCI ground. In India, the team will practice on January 27 and 28.
The T20 World Cup is set to begin jointly in India and Sri Lanka from February 7. Nepal will play its first match against England on February 8.
