Nepal National Cricket Team Signs Three-Year Sponsorship Deal with Nasa Securities

Kathmandu- Nasa Securities has become the official sponsor on the jersey of the Nepal national men’s cricket team. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced the partnership during a press conference held on Sunday. The agreement ties Nasa Securities to Nepali cricket for the next three years.

As per the contract, the Nepal national cricket team will receive NPR 23.6 million (2 crore 36 lakh) annually. The agreement was signed by CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand and Nasa Securities Managing Director Madan Paudel. During the same event, the new national team jersey featuring the Nasa Securities logo was also unveiled.

On the occasion, National Sports Council Member Secretary Tankalal Ghising emphasized the important role of the corporate sector in the development of Nepali sports. He noted that Nepal’s Sports Act mandates the involvement of the private sector in sports development under corporate social responsibility (CSR), which could significantly aid in sports advancement.

CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand remarked that Nepali cricket has been performing well recently and advised players to stay away from internal politics within the cricket board. CAN Secretary Paras Khadka expressed confidence that the agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter in Nepali cricket.

Nepal Team Departs for Australia

During the same event, the Nepal national men’s cricket team was formally bid farewell ahead of their departure to Australia for the upcoming “Top End T20 Series,” which begins Wednesday. The farewell was conducted by NSC Member Secretary Tankalal Ghising, CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, Vice President Roshan Singh, and Secretary Paras Khadka, among others.

This series in Australia is part of Nepal’s preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers.
