Lumbini Lions Set a Target of 157 Runs for Karnali Yaks

Kathmandu – Lumbini Lions have set a target of 157 runs for Karnali Yaks to win. After losing the toss and being sent in to bat first, Lumbini scored 156 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

 

For Lumbini, captain Rohit Paudel scored 49 runs. JJ Smit added 23, D’Arcy Short made 19, and Ruben Trumpelmann played an unbeaten innings of 29 runs. The remaining players failed to reach double figures.

 

For Karnali, Nanda Yadav took two wickets, while Bipin Sharma, Yuvaraj Khatri, Sompal Kami, Gulshan Jha, and Mark Watt each took one wicket.

 

Lumbini is aiming for its second victory today in the ongoing second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) in Kirtipur. The team had defeated Chitwan Rhinos in its first match. This is also the second match for Karnali, who lost their opening game against Chitwan Rhinos and are hoping for a win today.
