Kathmandu – In the final of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), Sudurpaschim Royals have set a modest target of 86 runs for Lumbini Lions.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Sudurpaschim were bowled out for 85 runs in 19.1 overs.
For Sudurpaschim, Ishan Pandey top-scored with 33 runs. Captain Dipendra Singh Airee contributed 13 runs, while Harmeet Singh and Scott Kuggeleijn scored 10 runs each. None of the remaining batters managed to reach double figures.
Vinod Bhandari, Deepak Bohara and Puneet Mehra were dismissed for ducks, while Sheldon Jackson and Avinash Bohara scored one run each. Aarif Sheikh was out for six runs.
Lumbini maintained pressure with disciplined bowling from the start. Captain Rohit Paudel, Ruben Trumpelmann and Sher Malla claimed three wickets each, with Rohit Paudel taking a hat-trick in the 11th over. Tilak Bhandari picked up one wicket.
