Kathmandu – Nepal has faced its second consecutive loss in the Top End T20 Series.
In today’s second match, Nepal was defeated by Bangladesh A by 32 runs.
Chasing the target of 187 runs set by Bangladesh A, Nepal managed to score only 154 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted overs.
Despite a valiant effort from Kushal Malla, who top-scored with 59 runs, Nepal couldn’t secure the win. Aasif Sheikh contributed 28 runs, Lokesh Bam scored 15, Kushal Bhurtel added 12, and Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel made 10 runs.
Karan KC scored 6, Dipendra Singh Airee made 1 run, while Gulshan Jha was dismissed for a duck.
Earlier, at the Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin, Bangladesh A, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, posted a total of 186 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
For Bangladesh A, Zishan Alam played an explosive innings scoring 73 runs, Afif Hossain remained unbeaten on 48, and Mohammad Naim Sheikh added 25 runs.
In bowling, Rijan Dhakal took 2 wickets, while Karan KC, Nandan Yadav, and Sandeep Lamichhane took 1 wicket each.
In the first match yesterday, Nepal had also lost to Northern Territory.
