20 Nepali Cricketers to Train at India’s NCA
July 20, 2025Kathmandu – A group of 20 Nepali cricketers is set to travel to India for specialized cricket training.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced on Friday that, in collaboration with the Indian Embassy and with support from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), selected players will undergo training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
The training squad includes 20 players selected from Nepal’s 32-member preliminary team announced for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers. The remaining 12 players will continue their training in Nepal.
The training camp in India will be held from July 21 to August 3. Following this, the Nepali team will depart for a tour of Australia.
Nepal is scheduled to participate in the Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers for the T20 World Cup in Oman this October. Prior to that, Nepal will play a 3-match T20I series against the West Indies during their Australian tour.
