Pokhara – In the ongoing Inter-College Cricket League Cup 2082 in Pokhara, the Western Regional Campus (WRC) secured their second win of the tournament.
Organized by the Pokhara Metropolitan Cricket Association and sponsored primarily by Kangaroo Education Consultancy, the tournament is being held at the Eden Heaven Cricket Ground in Lekhnath, Pokhara. WRC, who had already won the opening match, defeated Pokhara University (PU) on Thursday to claim their second victory.
In their first match, WRC made a strong start by beating Gandaki University (GU) by 39 runs. On the second day, WRC defeated PU by 7 wickets, earning a crucial 4 points. Due to rain, the match was reduced to 8 overs. Batting first, PU posted 60 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Chasing a target of 61, WRC reached the goal in 7.1 overs, losing 3 wickets.
In Thursday’s second match, Janapriya Multiple Campus (JMC) and Prithvi Narayan Campus (PNC) shared points. JMC opted to bowl first after winning the toss. PNC had scored 103 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 11.3 overs when rain interrupted play.
