ACC Men’s U-16: Singapore Sets Nepal a Target of 139 Runs

Kathmandu-  In the ACC Men’s U-16 East Zone Cricket Tournament, Singapore has set a target of 139 runs for Nepal to win.

In the match being held at UKM Oval Cricket Ground in Malaysia, Singapore won the toss and chose to bat first. They were bowled out for 138 runs in 36.1 overs.

Singapore’s captain Riyan Naik was the top scorer for his team, contributing 53 runs. Opener Ahaan Bhuthandam added 38 runs, while the other opener, Roshan Arun, scored 11 runs before getting out.

Nepal bowled well to restrict Singapore to a modest total. Captain Bipin Sharma led from the front, taking 4 wickets. Sachit Bhatt claimed 3 wickets, while Shubham Khanal and Abhay Yadav took one wicket each.

This tournament is part of the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) annual calendar, with participation from 10 teams. Nepal is placed in Group A along with Singapore, Indonesia, Bhutan, and Japan. Group B includes host Malaysia, Hong Kong, Maldives, Thailand, and Myanmar.

Nepal is currently batting in pursuit of the 139-run target.
