Kathmandu _ Sudurpashchim Royals have maintained their unbeaten run. In Thursday’s second match of the Nepal Premier League, Sudurpashchim defeated Chitwan Rhinos by 49 runs. Batting first after losing the toss, Sudurpashchim scored 169 runs for the loss of four wickets.
Chasing a target of 170, Chitwan were bowled out for 120 runs in 17.1 overs. For Chitwan, Ravi Bopara top-scored with 29 runs. Dev Khanal scored 28, Arjun Saud 16, captain Kushal Malla 15, Amar Routela 9, while Dawid Malan and Saif Zaib were out for 6 each. Rejhan Dhakal was out for 2, and George Scrimshaw returned to the pavilion without scoring.
For Sudurpashchim, Puneet Mehra took three wickets, while captain Dipendra Singh Airee, Hikmat Mahara, and Avinash Bohara took one wicket each.
For Sudurpashchim, Chris Lynn top-scored with 75 runs before retiring out, Vinod Bhandari scored 21, and Puneet Mehra was out for 13. Harmit Singh and Ishan Pandey made one run each. Arif Sheikh and captain Dipendra Singh Airee remained unbeaten on 24 runs each.
For Chitwan, Saif Zaib took two wickets, while Ranjit Kumar and George Scrimshaw claimed one wicket each.
