At the end of the first day of the sixth match in the ongoing Jay Trophy, Tribhuvan Army Club has taken a 112-runs lead. In the match held at Mulapani Cricket Ground, Tribhuvan Army Club, batting first, declared their innings after losing 9 wickets in 68.4 overs with the score of 252. For Army, Tritraj Das and Imran Sheikh forged a splendid 172-run partnership for the first wicket. Tritraj Das, who struck first for him and third century of Jay Trophy 2026, scored 102 runs before being bowled by APF’s spinner Yuvraj Khatri. Imran Sheikh played an innings of 71 runs and was also dismissed by Yuvraj Khatri. Other Army players, however, failed to deliver memorable performances.

On the bowling Innings, APF’s Yuvraj Khatri claimed 5 wickets, while captain Rohit Kumar Paudel took 2 wickets. Other bowlers of APF remained wicketless. APF claimed two run out.
In the second innings, although five APF players reached double figures, none of them could convert them into result-oriented scores. At the close of play on the first day, APF, had lost 9 wickets, trails by 112 runs. For APF, captain Rohit Paudel remains unbeaten on 48 runs. Fast bowler Sompal Kami contributed 4 wickets for Army to dismantle APF’s innings. On a day when Shahab Alam went wicketless, Naren Saud took 2 wickets, while Basir Ahmed and Tritraj Das claimed 1 wicket each.
