Kathmandu – Nepali national cricket team member Aarif Sheikh has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Caspian Valley College.
Caspian Valley College announced the appointment during a press conference held in Baneshwor on Sunday. The agreement was signed between the college’s principal, Manish Pandit, and cricketer Aarif Sheikh. The duration of the agreement is one year, though the college stated that the partnership is intended to continue in the coming years as well. However, the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Principal Pandit expressed that in addition to academic qualifications, students also need practical knowledge and extracurricular involvement. He said the collaboration with cricketer Aarif Sheikh is expected to boost the morale of the students.
On the occasion, Aarif shared that cricket has greatly boosted his self-confidence and that this partnership with the college would contribute positively to his career. The college stated that Aarif has been appointed brand ambassador because he is a role model for youth and is expected to inspire students.
Aarif Sheikh has scored 1,326 runs, including 9 half-centuries, and taken 8 wickets in 61 One Day Internationals (ODIs). In T20 Internationals, he has scored 538 runs and taken 4 wickets in 43 matches.
