Kaski and Nawalpur Start with Victories

Kaski and Nawalpur registered winning starts in the Group ‘B’ league stage of the ongoing 3rd Gandaki Province Men’s T20 Cricket Tournament.
Organized by the Provincial Cricket Association Gandaki and promoted by the Gandaki Province Sports Council, the matches are being held at the Pokhara Stadium.

In a weather-affected match shortened to 13 overs per side, Kaski defeated Parbat by 20 runs. After losing the toss and being sent to bat, Kaski posted 108 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Chasing a target of 109, Parbat managed only 88 runs for 4 wickets in their allotted 13 overs.
In the second match of the day, Nawalpur thrashed Gorkha by 91 runs. Gorkha, opting to bowl first after winning the toss, restricted Nawalpur to 143 runs for 8 wickets in the full 20 overs. However, in response, Gorkha collapsed for just 52 runs in 15.2 overs, suffering a heavy defeat.
With these wins, both Kaski and Nawalpur have earned 2 points each in Group B.
Upcoming matches on Wednesday will see Parbat face Nawalpur, and Gorkha take on Kaski in further Group B action. From Group A, Syangja has already secured a place in the final.
