Kathmandu – The Nepal ‘A’ cricket team is set to play a five-match T20 series against the Assam State Team in Guwahati, India. The series will take place from Bhadra 10 to 18 (corresponding to August 26 to September 3).
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the squad for the tour, appointing Anil Sah as the team captain. Sah, a wicketkeeper-batter with experience in the senior national team, will lead the side in this developmental series aimed at nurturing young talent.
The 16-member squad includes several promising players such as Arjun Gharti, Subash Kc Kanskakar, Trit Raj Das, Ishan Pandey, Dev Khanal, and Sundeep Jora. Other members of the team are Vivek Kumar Yadav, Pawan Sarraf, Basir Ahmad, Aakash Chand, Kamal Singh Airee, Mohammad Aadil Alam Ansari, Sher Malla, Yuvaraj Khatri, and Sagar Dhakal.
This T20 series is considered a valuable platform for Nepal’s emerging cricketers to gain international experience. Facing a competitive domestic side like Assam will provide these players with exposure to high-level matches and help in their development for future national and international competitions.
