Nepal Sets 140-Run Target for Melbourne Renegades Academy

Kathmandu – In their fifth match of the ongoing Top End T20 Series in Australia’s Northern Territory, Nepal has set a target of 140 runs for the Melbourne Renegades Academy.

In the match being held at the Kazalys Arena in Palmerston, Darwin, Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted a total of 139 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

For Nepal, Kushal Malla was the top scorer with 29 runs off 22 balls, including one four and one six. Similarly, Dipendra Singh Airee contributed 27 runs off 28 balls, and Lokesh Bam added a quick 24 off 16 balls. Bhimal Sarki scored 17, while Aarif Sheikh and Rupesh Singh chipped in with 12 runs each.

In bowling, the Renegades’ attack was led by Fergus O’Neill, Lachlan Bangs, Callum Stow, and Michael Archer, each taking two wickets.

The Melbourne Renegades Academy is currently chasing the 140-run target set by Nepal.
