Kathmandu – Widely regarded as one of the best T20 spin bowlers in the world, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan had a forgettable outing in a recent match of The Hundred T20 tournament currently taking place in England. Playing for Oval Invincibles, Rashid faced a fierce challenge on Tuesday against Birmingham Phoenix, something he may not forget for a long time.
RCB’s star player Liam Livingstone launched a brutal attack on Rashid Khan, smashing him for 26 runs in a single over. The over included a four off the first ball, followed by three consecutive sixes, and finished with another boundary.
Rashid bowled a total of 20 balls in the match, conceding 59 runs without taking a single wicket. This stands as one of the worst bowling spells of his T20 career. His previous worst came during the IPL 2025 season.
Livingstone’s Explosive Batting
Playing for Birmingham Phoenix, Liam Livingstone put on a spectacular show with the bat. Scoring 69 runs off just 27 balls at a blistering strike rate of 255, he smashed 7 fours and 5 sixes in his explosive innings.
This isn’t the first time Livingstone has dominated Rashid Khan. He had earlier hit 5 sixes in a single over against Rashid during an IPL match as well.
Thanks to Livingstone’s aggressive batting, Birmingham Phoenix clinched victory with 4 wickets in hand and 2 balls to spare.
