Kathmandu – In the player auction for the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), eight franchises signed a total of 37 players. Among the top picks, Mohammad Aadil Alam, Dev Khanal, Arjun Saud, and Pawan Sarraf received the highest bid amount of NPR 1.5 million.
However, some experienced and well-known players went unsold in the auction. Category ‘A’ players Sharad Vesawkar, Sunil Dhamala, and Sunam Gautam were not picked by any team. Sharad had played for Chitwan Rhinos in the first season, while Sunam was signed by Pokhara Avengers but couldn’t play due to injury.
