Nepal Premier League 2: How much did each club spend in the mini auction?

Kathmandu – In the mini auction for the 2025 edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), eight franchise teams purchased a total of 37 players.

Among them, Chitwan Rhinos spent the most, while Pokhara Avengers retained the highest remaining purse. Chitwan spent NPR 3.9 million, acquiring openers Dev Khanal and Arjun Saud for NPR 1.5 million each. The team now has NPR 1.9 million left in its purse.

Kathmandu Gorkhas spent NPR 3.7 million to sign five players: Uttam Thapa Magar, Tul Bahadur Thapa, Santosh Yadav, Aakash Tripathi, and Adil Alam Ansari. They are left with only NPR 600,000 — the lowest among all teams.

Pokhara Avengers spent the least, signing four players for just NPR 1.1 million. The team added Abhishek Tiwari, Arjun Kumar, Krishna Poudel, and Sandeep Kshetri. With that, Pokhara has NPR 2.55 million left, the highest among all franchises.

Biratnagar Kings spent NPR 2.7 million to sign five players including spinner Surya Tamang, along with Sahil Patel, Narayan Joshi, Shravan Kisku, and Shankar Rana. The team has a remaining purse of NPR 1.85 million.

Lumbini Lions spent NPR 3.2 million to sign five players: Dilip Nath, Bishal Patel, Sher Malla, Adil Khan, and Durgesh Gupta. They are left with NPR 1.325 million.

Defending champions Janakpur Bolts spent NPR 1.975 million to acquire Sachin Bhatt, Aditya Mehta, Mayan Yadav, and Bikash Agri. The remaining amount in their purse is the same as Lumbini Lions — NPR 1.325 million.

Karnali Yaks spent NPR 2.9 million to bring in Pawan Sarraf, Imran Sheikh, Deepak Dumre, and Yuvraj Khatri. The team has NPR 1.8 million remaining.

Last season’s runner-up, Sudurpaschim Royals, spent NPR 2.4 million to sign Hemant Dhami and four others — Tek Bahadur Rawat, Dipendra Thapa, Deepak Bohora, and Milan Bohora. They now have a remaining purse of NPR 1.75 million.
