Kathmandu – The Melbourne Stars Academy team, set to play against the Nepal national cricket team in the upcoming Top End T20 Series in Australia next month, has been officially announced.
The 14-member squad, which will participate in the tournament scheduled from August 14 to 24, was announced a few days ago. The team includes players who have previously represented age-level national teams for Australia and have also played in the Big Bash League (BBL).
The Melbourne Stars Academy squad includes:
Austin Anlezark, Max Bertusell, Liam Blackford, Sam Elliott, Sam Harper, Christian Howe, Campbell Kellaway, Blake Macdonald, Hamish McKenzie, Jonathan Merlo, Cameron McClure, Tom Rogers, Aryan Sharma, and Douglas Warren.
Nepal’s Match Schedule in the Top End T20 Series:
August 15 (Shrawan 30) – Nepal vs. Northern Territory Strike
August 16 – Nepal vs. Bangladesh ‘A’
August 18 (Bhadra 2, Morning match) – Nepal vs. Melbourne Stars Academy
August 19 (Bhadra 3) – Nepal vs. Hobart Hurricanes Academy
August 20 (Bhadra 4) – Nepal vs. Melbourne Renegades Academy
August 22 (Bhadra 6) – Nepal vs. Pakistan ‘A’
This tournament will provide Nepal with valuable match experience against top academy and international ‘A’ sides.
