West Indies All-rounder Andre Russell Announces Retirement

Kathmandu – West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has announced his retirement from international cricket. The first two matches of the upcoming five-match home T20 series between Australia and West Indies will be his final appearances for the national team.

The 37-year-old Russell has been included in the West Indies squad for the five-match series. The first two games will be played at Sabina Park in Jamaica, which is his home ground. He will bid farewell to international cricket at his home venue.

Cricket West Indies shared the news of Andre Russell’s retirement through social media.

In T20 Internationals, Russell has played three half-century innings, with 71 runs being his highest score. As a bowler, he has taken 61 wickets at an average of 30.59, with 3 for 19 being his best bowling figures.

His retirement comes seven months before the next ICC T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in February 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.
