Kathmandu – Three Nepali U-19 cricketers are set to participate in a one-month special training program in Bhopal, India.
Under the Ambassador’s Cricket Fellowship program launched by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu for Nepali youth, Naren Bhatt, Sahil Patel, and Pooja Mahato will undergo professional cricket training at the L.B. Shastri Cricket Academy in India from July 15 to August 14, 2025.
Naren has previously captained the Nepali U-19 cricket team, while under Pooja Mahato’s captaincy, the Nepali women’s team participated for the first time in the U-19 T20 World Cup. Sahil has also been a member of the U-19 cricket team.
To bid farewell to the players, Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava held a meeting and interaction session today in the presence of Chatur Bahadur Chand, President of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
