President with Young Cricketers: Success is the Result of Players’ Dedication and Commitment

Kathmandu – President Ramchandra Paudel has said that the growing craze for cricket in Nepal and the recent success of Nepali players is commendable.

While congratulating the Nepal U-16 team, winners of the ACC U-16 East Zone Cup, at a ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas on Monday, he stated that Nepal’s success in cricket is a result of the players’ dedication, passion, and hard work.

Referring to Nepal’s victory against Singapore in the final match of the tournament, President Paudel said the achievement had enhanced the nation’s prestige and honor.

He further emphasized that if traditional sports in Nepal are promoted, developed, and expanded to be included in international competitions, it would not only preserve heritage but also uplift the country’s image globally.

The President also highlighted the need to develop sports infrastructure, increase competitions and training within the country, and focus on producing skilled athletes who can compete both nationally and internationally.
