Kathmandu: The installation of seats in the parapet of the cricket ground in Kirtipur has started. The work began last Falgun to upgrade the stadium to international standards and enable night games.
In the first phase, a parapet to accommodate 10,000 spectators and eight floodlights are being installed. According to Sunil Shah, an engineer from Bijay Construction, which is handling the project, the parapet will have chairs in five colors: yellow, white, gray, green, blue, and orange.
The parapet is divided into eight sections, with six on the western side and two on the eastern side of the stadium. Each section will have 652 chairs.
