Kathmandu: Nepal has won the title of the ACC U-16 East Zone Cup cricket tournament, remaining undefeated. In the final held on Saturday, Nepal clinched the title by defeating Singapore by 2 wickets.
Chasing a modest target of 114 runs set by Singapore, Nepal completed the chase in 29 overs, losing 8 wickets. Joy Thapa played an unbeaten knock of 24 runs for Nepal.

Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, Singapore was bowled out for 113 runs in 40.5 overs. Rohan Austin top-scored for Singapore with 23 runs, facing over 90 balls. Rihan Naik contributed 15 runs.
For Nepal, Abhay Yadav took 3 wickets for 34 runs in 10 overs. Sushil Bahadur Rawal also claimed 3 wickets, while Shubham Khanal took 2 wickets, and captain Bipin Prasad Sharma picked up 1 wicket.
Nepal won the title undefeated in the tournament, having previously beaten Singapore in the group stage as well.
